Berlin, February 1933, the new German leadership orders the closure of all cabarets. But Felix, the emcee of the depraved Fabulett, still has a story to tell. He has felt different from the others all his life: as a boy, a son and a soldier in the Great War. The only place where he has ever had a sense of belonging is the Fabulett - the place that he now has to abandon. Fabulett 1933 is a queer one person musical created and performed by Michael Trauffer, featuring music, ideas and lives classified as "degenerate" by the Nazis, as well as original songs. The show received multiple 5 and 4 star reviews during its runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2022 and at London's Canal Café Theatre in 2021.
